Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Withdrawal Request

In the event of a request for admission withdrawal, The Academic City School requires that a formal written request be submitted. Verbal requests will not be processed. The request should be directed to the relevant contact, depending on the timing of the withdrawal:

  • Refund Eligibility

The refund policy for fees is as follows:

    • Before the start of classes: If the withdrawal request is received before the academic year begins, 100% of the term fee is refundable, excluding non-refundable fees such as the application, registration, admission fee, books, and uniform costs.
    • After the start of classes: If the withdrawal request is submitted after the academic year begins (regardless of whether the student has physically attended), the full term fee for the current term is payable. Any advance fees paid for future terms will be refunded.
  • Non-Refundable Fees

Certain fees are non-refundable under all circumstances, including:

    • Application, registration, and admission fees.
    • Boarding fees after the start of the term.
    • Special programme and lab/technology fees.
  • Refund Processing

Refunds will be processed within 14 working days from the acceptance of the written withdrawal request or from the last day attended by the student, whichever is later. Refunds will be issued only after all outstanding dues have been cleared, and any applicable deductions (e.g., damage to school property or non-returned items) have been made.

  • Security Deposit

Refundable security deposits are subject to deductions based on any outstanding dues, fines, or damages to school property. The refund will be processed once all accounts have been cleared.

  • Termination Due to Disciplinary Actions

In cases where a student is expelled or removed from the school due to disciplinary reasons, the same refund rules apply as outlined above.

  • International/NRI Students

Refunds for international or NRI students will be processed in accordance with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and applicable foreign exchange regulations.
